World Still Target Shooting Female Championship, 2010

Doris really "knocked it out of the park" at the Clinton House shoot on Saturday, November 18, 2010 for the World Still Target Shooting Female Championship.

Some of the best competition was there and trying very hard to beat her. They shot custom guns and chokes, while she shot her stock Remington 870, with the ATI Akita Adjustable Stock, SSX Turkey Choke and 20 gauge Hevi-13 shotshells.

Doris had several scores in the 20s and taking 3 of the 4 seats in the finals. Her winning score was a "22" having to win 2 times in the finals to take the championship.

It was a 9-hour drive down to South Carolina on Friday. We arrived about 7:00 p.m. and started shooting the next day at 9:00 a.m. So, we were both really tired at the end of the day but it cannot be overstated how much the Akita helped Doris with her shooting. The combination of a perfect fit and that great Scorpion recoil pad, makes a real difference.
